Shiney's story so far - New twist (Like always)

There's now a new twist to the actor's story.
His former maid has told that the girl who's accused Shiney of raping her was actually in love with him. "The girl told me that she had a boyfriend earlier who had gone to his village and married someone else. She then said that she had now fallen in love with Shiney Ahuja. I said why are you talking like this? Does he love you too? She said I just love him, what do I do now?)", said Shiney Ahuja's former maid. Lawyers say the former maid's testimony could be a ray of hope for Shiney Ahuja as far as getting bail is concerned.

Meanwhile, Shiney Ahuja's wife, Anupama - who went to meet her husband in jail on Thursday - said, "It felt wonderful seeing him. He looked at me with love and I looked at him with love. We really love each other, and we're waiting for him to come home."

However, the father of the victim said, "I want Shiney to be jailed. I am satisfied with the way the police have been handling the case".
The National Commission of Women Chief Girija Vyas is leaving for Mumbai now where she plans on meeting the alleged victim.

Actor Shiney Ahuja, facing a rape charge, will continue to stay behind bars till July 2 as a Mumbai court on Thursday remanded him to judicial custody.

Shiney's police custody ended on Thursday. His lawyer Shrikant Shivade said he would appeal against the court order and seek bail for the actor.

What amounts to rape?

According to Section 375 of the IPC, a man is said to commit "rape" when he has sexual intercourse with a woman

1) Against her will

2) Without her consent

3) If her consent was obtained by putting her or any person she's interested in under fear of death or of hurt

4) With her consent, when the man knows that he is not her husband, but she believes that he is the man she is lawfully married to

5) If consent was given under intoxication or unsound mind

Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja detained, accused of rape

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja was on Sunday detained for questioning at a suburban police station in Mumbai after his domestic help alleged that he had raped her.
"The domestic help, who has been working at Ahuja's residence in suburban Oshiwara, alleged that the actor had raped her on Sunday afternoon," Deputy Commissioner of Police Niket Kaushik told PTI.
"We have registered a FIR and called Ahuja to the police station for questioning in the matter to verify the facts," he said.
The house maid in her complaint has alleged that Ahuja raped her at his residence when they were alone, Kaushik said.
Police claim Shiney has admitted to having a physical relationship with his domestic help.The victim was employed at Ahuja’s home for the past one and a half month.
The actor was produced in Andheri court. He has been booked for rape under Section 376 and also charged under Section 339 for wrongful restraint and Section 506 for threatening another person.
The preliminary medical report of the 18-year-old victim reportedly suggest that she was sexually abused. Ahuja has also been sent for medical examination.
During interrogation, Shiney reportedly confessed to having consensual sex with his maid.

Meanwhile, Shiney's family is firmly standing behind him. His cousin says that he (Shiney) is a man of character and that he is innocent.
